For people whose favorite place has an elevation gain
Hikers don't need another gadget. Give them the mountain itself — their summit, their valley, even their own recorded route on the terrain they earned it on.
Every hiker has one mountain they keep going back to — the peak behind the family cabin, the ridge of the first real summit, the massif they can see from the kitchen window. A relief model of exactly that terrain, printed from real elevation data, is the rare gift that knows them better than they expected. And if you can quietly get hold of a GPX file from their Strava or Komoot, their actual line to the summit prints right on the terrain — raised in a contrast color or engraved like an etching. That's the difference between "a nice model of a mountain" and "the day we stood on top".

Three ways to frame it
The home mountain
Their peak, framed tight, relief emphasis up, Alpine bands — the pyramid for the desk.
Their line to the summit
Upload their GPX track and the recorded route sits on the terrain — raised, engraved, or in signal red on a poster.
The whole playground
A wider frame of their range — Wilder Kaiser, Dolomites, Karwendel — as a relief or an A2 relief-edition poster.
Or as a map poster — from €24
The lighter-budget version of the same idea: their place as a museum-style map sheet, previewed live before you order.

The preview is free and instant — design first, decide later.
Occasion questions
Can their recorded route go on the gift?
Yes — upload their GPX file (from Strava, Komoot, Garmin or AllTrails) in the configurator and the route sits on the terrain, raised in a contrast color or engraved. The file is read in the browser and never uploaded; on map posters the track prints in signal red.
Can I see the gift before ordering?
Yes — that's the point. Type the place, frame it, and a real 3D preview builds from actual elevation data in about 30 seconds. What you see is the exact shape that gets printed.
Which colors and materials can I choose?
Matte PLA in eight colors — single color or hypsometric elevation bands — with optional contrast colors for buildings, streets and water (+€4 per extra color). Or step up to gray SLS nylon or full-color sandstone.
How early do I need to order for a fixed date?
Production takes 4–9 days depending on material, plus shipping. For a safe margin inside the EU, order about two weeks ahead. (While Orograph is in preview, checkout is a demo — no charge, no shipment.)
