Nuremberg Map Poster
Nuremberg still wears its wall: the medieval circuit survives almost unbroken, and on a map it draws the old town as a closed figure the way few German cities can. Inside, the Pegnitz cuts the Altstadt into its Sebald and Lorenz halves, slipping under bridges and straight through buildings; just upstream it widens into the Wöhrder See. From the northern edge, the castle rock anchors the whole composition. A 16 km frame sets this core inside its ring roads and the surrounding Reichswald.
Exact sheet preview — rendered by the same pipeline that produces your print file.
Go with the Street edition — with no labels in the way, the closed ring of the wall, the Pegnitz's thread and the contrast between tight medieval lanes and the looser grid outside carry the sheet alone. The square formats suit Nuremberg unusually well: at 30×30 or 50×50 cm the walled town sits centred like a seal. Rotate the map if you want the castle at the top regardless of compass direction — the north arrow keeps pointing true north. Sheets from A4 to A2 all carry coordinates and a scale bar, and the title line takes whatever you give it: a name, a year, 49.45° N.

Questions about this poster
Which formats does the Nuremberg poster come in?
A4 (€24), A3 (€39), A2 (€59) in portrait, plus 30 × 30 cm (€29) and 50 × 50 cm (€49) square — printed on matte paper with a title line, coordinates and a scale bar.
Can I choose the map crop myself?
Yes — you frame the crop freely in the configurator, rotate the map to any angle (the north arrow keeps pointing north) and edit the title line. The preview shows the finished sheet before you order.
What is the difference between the editions?
Street is a light, minimal line map without labels; Relief shows the real terrain with hillshading and hypsometric tint from open elevation data; Orthophoto is aerial imagery. You switch live in the preview.
How long do printing and shipping take?
About 3 days of production plus shipping (€6.90, free over €120). Note: the shop is currently a demo — orders generate a real print-ready PDF, but nothing is charged or shipped.
Does the whole old town fit on a small sheet?
Easily — the walled Altstadt measures roughly 1.6 km across, so even A4 shows it with generous surroundings. The square 30×30 cm format frames the ring almost perfectly.
Street or Relief for Nuremberg?
Street. The city sits on gentle sandstone terraces, so terrain adds little inside town — the wall and the river do the work. Relief pays off only on a wide frame toward the Franconian Jura.
